Hello. I am working on transcribing my great-grandfather's journals. He served in the central states mission starting in early 1920. I found your blog by researching some of the words he uses in his writing ("hard pan" suitcase)for instance. His name was Byron Adair. Maybe they knew each other!

I just re-read this journal entry, he referred to other small books that were his daily journal. I wish I had those, he probably spoke more of the people he knew. My grandfather was a great man, thanks for the note!

Hi,

I was researching your grandfather, Kenneth Norwood Durrant, because he served as a missionary in Union Parish Louisiana. The early records show that mygrandmother, Geneva Ward, was baptized by A.A. Day and confirmed by K.N. Durrant. I am working on an update of the history of the LDS church in Union Parish, La and wondered if I could copy his mission photos and some of the information he wrote about his mission to be included in our update and to share with other members of my family. Thanks for putting this online. It has been interesting finding out more about Elder Durrant.

Thanks for your consideration,
